What Makes Spring Different?
It can feel confusing and frustrating when you aren’t able to move freely and without pain. We get that. We also have a deep understanding of the human body and want to share that with you. When you understand what’s happening to you, it brings clarity and eliminates confusion about what to do and how to get the help you need.
Dean and Sarah Campbell have a combined sixty years in complementary medicine, with deep
dives into anatomy and movement. They have each had a mix of formal training and
apprenticeships, and continue to learn more every year. Their clients inspire them to dig deeper, learn more, and find solutions.
When working with Spring Acupuncture, you will:
- Have two highly trained practitioners listening to the details of your individual health and performance goals
- Have a care plan created specifically for you
- Have an interactive relationship with your care and a say in what’s next
Finding health care that treats you as an individual and spends the time to research the most effective way to approach your case is a rarity these days. You can have that with Spring.
Tools We Use
Motor Point Electro-Acupuncture
Motor Point Electro-acupuncture was developed with an understanding of the neurology and function of muscles. It pinpoints where motor nerve endplates enter muscles, known as motor points. When an acupuncture needle is used on a motor point with an electric impulse, it creates an intramuscular contraction and relaxation phase. This is like hitting a reset button on the muscle. The results are immediate pain relief and improved muscle contractibility and mobility.

Triggerpoint Dry Needling
Dry needling is inserting a small, solid filament needle (yes, an acupuncture needle) into a painful, contracted, and knotted muscle to create a local twitch reflex. Research shows that it decreases muscle contraction reduces chemical irritation, improves flexibility, and decreases pain.
Focused Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps the different layers of tissue relate to each other in a healthy and functional way, and reduces muscular tension.

IASTM Soft Tissue Mobilization Techniques
Instrument Assisted Soft tissue Mobilization is primarily used for musculoskeletal conditions, such as pain, muscle tension, spasms, tendonitis, and treating scar tissue. The treatment is used to promote circulation to the local area in order to reduce pain and promote healing.
Kinesio Taping
Kinesio taping is the application of thick, wide, stretchy tape on specific areas to stabilize muscles and joints. It allows the affected joint or area to move while being supported. It is very helpful for injuries and athletes.

Corrective Exercise & Posture Therapy
Drawing from certifications in yoga and personal training as well as deep anatomical knowledge, we create short, effective movement routines that will help you stay feeling your best. Clients report that when they regularly do their corrective exercises, they feel
great.
